In 2018, the Massachusetts State Legislature passed a five-year, $2.4 billion Environmental Bond Act, which included $75 million for the MVP program.
The 2023 Environmental Bond Bill should include $500 million ($100 million/year) for MVP capital projects.
In addition, the state budget should include $10 million/year for community planning to ensure these projects are effective.
